Are Zebras white with black stripes or black with white stripes?

These fabulous shoes attracted my eyes in Debenhams today so I decided to take pictures of them to blog (thank God for camera phones). Leopard print has taken over my life but I think I might need elements of Zebra print within my wardrope :)
