French Vogue : TEN-YEAR-OLD model

Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau

The daughter of French international footballer Patrick Blondeau and TV presenter Veronika Loubry, Thylane has been modelling since she was five and is hotly tipped to be fashion's next big thing. This girl has an epic beauty, an effortless chicness and an impressive modeling portfolio that is far beyond her ten years. However, The Sun has now revealed how a Top Fashion magazine caused outrage by printing provocative pictures of a ten year old model. The pictures have reignited the debate about the sexualisation of young girls.

DRESSING a ten-year-old child like this is deeply disturbing.
These are highly sexualised images. Maybe Thylane herself thinks she is just dressing up but she has been styled to appeal to post-pubescent sexual men.
It's like marketing to paedophiles.
Never mind wondering what the photographer and magazine are thinking of - what are her parents thinking of? Is it for the money?
None could be worth selling her childhood innocence.
Is it to lay the foundations for a great future for her?
She may well be looking at a lucrative career as a model but responsible agencies note promising young girls, then wait for them to grow up.
If the fashion world won't behave responsibly under its own steam, we need laws to protect our children.

IT'S my opinion that these photos show how truly beautiful this young girl is. It's every young girl's dream to dress up and wear make-up.
Child models would always have their parents' consent and all respectful parents would listen to their child if they weren't happy.
The shoot is in no way about sexuality. It's just a high-end fashion shoot. She is not at all dressed in scanty outfits but completely covered up. Hair and styling is very heavy on purpose, showing that this is indeed a young girl.
It's in no way about a loss of childhood. It's simply a fashion shoot.
I am sure when she gets home she is listening to Justin Bieber and having sleepovers with her friends.
Can we not just say: "Wow, this girl is beautiful" and move on?
Tomorrow she may be modelling for a cereal packet!

Regardless of how they feel about Thylane as a model now, we expect to see her face for many years to come in the fashion world...

Spotted for style

Firstly excuse the photography. This is Harrison also known as "Ahmed Hassan". He was spotted due to his trendy style of dressing that suited his character. He also wore a black 'snap back' hat with this outfit but he didn't want his face photographed, so I couldn't capture that particular element of his style. Overall I absolutely love his vans.
