TIME

*RANDOM POST*
So it's been 9 months since I've blogged anything and it slightly annoys me actually cause my fashion journey has actually grown and I've learnt a lot but haven't had the chance to note it all down. To be honest I got slightly lazy with this and just didn't have time. Now that I'm in third year really and truly don't expect any posts anytime soon, well hopefully by May when I've finished my collection. Anyway graduation soon...I'll be back :)

Androgyny

Grace Jones
Tilda Swindon

I've currently been attracted to androgyny, well not the sexual side as such but the aesthetic and style of its nature. I love the aspect of having masculine and feminine characteristics within dress and garment design as well. The way we dress says many things about you from personality to preferences and even mood, in which the androgyny way of dress to me speaks power and rebel.  By this I feel that there is less boundaries in having the control of your external image and expressing a voice through dress. Society's definition of what is 'acceptable' has also changed in which the androgynous style is often misinterpreted

"Androgynous today means that men and women have the same attitude towards what they want to wear"  - Giorgio Armani

Project Runway All Stars S2 - challenge 5

Emilio Sosa
Althea Harper
Anthony Ryan

In project runway all stars season two the designers were given a challenge to create an avant-garde, androgynous look for a male and female model. These are my three favorite looks from the episode, well actually they are the ones that seemed to have nailed the idea of androgyny compared to the other designers.
I would love to have Anthony Ryan's male look , that shirt dress is just calling my name!

Topshop Virgin

Today I finally lost my Topshop virginity , totally embarrassing but I've actually never owned anything from that shop at all.To be honest, I used to hate it and I didn't have any valid reasons to but now I've come to the realization that I'm in love with it. My personal style actually lives in Topshop but it will definitely rape my bank balance considering the price range of the items. Anyway I plan to do more purchases in there for the rest of the year, well I've already started since I bought the necklace and boots from there today so yeah... IT'S TOPSHOP BABY!!!

PAUSE street style

While browsing though Pause magazine website on the street style page, I came across shots of stylish menswear ranging from different styles as well as DIY's during London fashion week. I was mostly intrigued by the man bags they where holding. Boy I defiantly need to get my bag game up!! Check them out!

Unplanned Purchases

So today I ended up buying these after strolling past the book sale that was taking place at my university today, even though my financial status is tumbling downhill at such a rapid pace. Well I bought the Pattern Cutting book for the obvious reason of needing to know more of the technical side of things but I also got the 100 years of fashion illustration because I've given myself an aim that by the time I graduate I should have found my signature illustration style. I find that pretty challenging in which I really don't know why I set myself such tasks. Hope it goes according to plan though :)

Abandoned.

Well clearly I just haven't been bothered to blog anything at all for the whole summer so I'm about to cramp everything in one post, from new shoes,my holiday in Milan, my new colour phases, my university work etc  and everything else I've thrown at my fashion side of life

Ready?

I'll get started by saying I've finally got blue hair. I've been wanting to do it for a while but never really had the balls to but I guess I finally grew a pair :)

On tuesday the 9th of october I had a bad day, so I went to N-town to buy some nail polish but I ended up buying myself some jeans and cardigans...but hey! I bought a black nail polish by Barry M. To be honest I'm not so impressed, the only positive thing about it is that it shines pretty well but mmm.

SHOE FETISH!

I really can't get enough...I LOVE shoes and I will not stop purchasing.

These are my new shoes purchased from New Look. I only bought them because I thought the cut of the heel was funky

Well I bought these the same time I bought the heels above..I got these because the detailing  on them is really neat and I really like the print of the lining inside.

These are now officially my favorite heels from my whole collection. I got these as a birthday present from my sister. It was actually love at first sight with these shoes and to make it even better they are Kurt Geiger designer shoes.

While still on the birthday vibe...

This was my Birthday outfit :)

Blouse & Clutch - Primark
Trousers - Zara (Italy)
Shoes & Earrings - New Look

These are my new accessories, part of my birthday present from my other sister. I was totally lacking within this department. I think I'm going to have to challenge myself, every month I should buy a piece of accessory and blog about  it.

MILAN 2012

During this summer, I went to Milan in Italy with my sister, bless her for paying everything for me, all I had to do it turn up at Gatwick airport. This was actually an experience of a lifetime, it was the best thing ever. I actually don't have words to describe it all , it was just AMAZING! Since I'm just so speechless here are some pictures :)

Well now I'm back at university currently on my new project being 'Tailoring', I'm actually really enjoying it, I'll defiantly blog a bit about that too as time goes on. OU! and I'm up to date with my purchases of the Elle magazine too :)
Overall I'm actually impressed that I've managed to cramp all of that in one post but I really hope that I don't delete this blog. I'm really tempted to do it...
